Up the Floors — Terms of Use
Effective date: 31 October 2026
These terms set out the rules between you and us when you play Up the Floors (the "Game") in the iOS and Android apps or on upthefloors.com. By playing you accept them.
1. Who we are
The Game is developed and provided by 16X9 FİLM YAPIM BİLİŞİM SANAYİ VE TİCARET ANONİM ŞİRKETİ, Maslak Mah. AOS 55. Sk. 42 Maslak B Blok No: 4 İç Kapı No: 542, Sarıyer / İstanbul, Türkiye (tax no. 0012062477, MERSİS 0001206247700001). Contact: support@upthefloors.com.
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also applies and prevails on the licence to use the app. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. How we handle data is explained in our Privacy Policy and, in Turkish, the KVKK disclosure.
2. The Game
- 120 floors, one short question per floor, 10 seconds each. A wrong answer or running out of time sends the elevator back to floor 1.
- There are no accounts. Your progress lives on our server only for the current ride; your best floor is remembered on your device.
- Questions, answers and timing are checked on our server. We may change questions, difficulty, rules and features to keep the Game fair and fun.
- The Game is not an intelligence, medical or psychological test and its results say nothing about you beyond the Game.
3. Top 100 and nicknames
- After an Emergency Stop you may enter a nickname to place your highest floor on the public Top 100. Any nickname works; you don't have to use your real name. Don't use someone else's name or a name meant to impersonate us.
- Offensive, hateful, sexual or misleading nicknames are not allowed. We filter nicknames automatically and may hide any entry at our discretion, including runs that look automated or manipulated.
- Ranking: highest floor first; reaching the roof beats everything; ties go to fewer falls back to floor 1, then to whoever got there first.
- Using bots, scripts, modified clients or any way of getting answers other than playing yourself is not allowed. We may remove such scores and block abusive traffic.
4. Ads, continues and Remove Ads
- The free apps show ads from Google. There are never ads during a ride. A full-screen ad may appear after a fall, at most once every three minutes. The website currently shows no ads; if that changes, the same rules apply.
- After falling from floor 5 or higher you may continue from the floor you fell from once per climb: in the apps by watching a video ad, on the web after a short break. The fall still counts on the Top 100.
- "Remove Ads" is a one-time purchase in the iOS and Android apps. It removes full-screen ads and lets you continue without watching an ad. It does not give extra continues and never changes a score. The price, including taxes, is shown in the App Store or Google Play at purchase; payment is handled by Apple or Google and we never receive your payment details.
- Restore: use "Restore purchases" in the app with the same Apple or Google account. A purchase in the app doesn't carry over to the website, because there are no accounts.
- Refunds follow Apple's and Google's policies (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play: your order history). If a purchase is refunded, ads come back. Because Remove Ads is a digital service that starts as soon as the purchase is confirmed, the exception to the right of withdrawal in Article 15(1)(ğ) of the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation may apply. Your mandatory consumer rights are always preserved.
5. Age
The Game is for players aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, purchases need a parent's or guardian's consent.
6. Our content
The Game, its questions, art, sounds and code belong to us or our licensors. You may play it for personal, non-commercial use. Don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer for cheating, or overload the service.
7. Availability and liability
We work to keep the Game available but can't guarantee it runs without interruption or errors; servers may be down for maintenance. The Game is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost scores or lost progress. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes and ending
We may update these terms; for material changes we show a notice in the Game, and the date above changes. We may end the Game; if we do, we will announce it in advance in the Game and on upthefloors.com.
9. Law and disputes
Turkish law applies. For consumers, consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts in Türkiye have jurisdiction within the monetary limits set each year; consumers living elsewhere keep the mandatory protections of their own country. Otherwise, Istanbul (Çağlayan) courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction.
