Up the Floors — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 31 October 2026

This policy explains what Up the Floors (the "Game", on iOS, Android and upthefloors.com) processes, why, and your rights. Short version: there are no accounts, we never ask for your name, email or phone, and we do not sell data or use personalized advertising.

We do not collect contacts, location, photos, microphone, advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID) or precise device fingerprints.

3. Advertising

The free version of the apps shows ads from Google AdMob, and never during a ride: - a full-screen ad may appear after you fall back to floor 1, at most once every 3 minutes, and not in the first minutes of your first session; - after a fall from floor 5 or higher you may choose to watch a video ad to continue from the floor you fell from (once per climb). This is always optional.

On the website no ads are shown at the moment; after a fall from floor 5 or higher you can continue after a short 5-second break. If we start showing ads on the website (Google AdSense), they will follow the same rules, this section will be updated first, and visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will see Google's consent form before any ad.

Ads are requested as non-personalized: no advertising ID is used and we do not ask for tracking permission. The ad network still receives technical data (such as IP address and device type) to deliver the ad, measure it and prevent fraud, under Google's privacy policy. To confirm that a reward was earned, Google sends our server a signed confirmation containing a random ID for that ad view, not your identity. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland see Google's consent form before ads are shown.

Cookies and similar technologies used by ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads, to limit how often you see an ad, to measure ads and to prevent fraud. Even non-personalized ads use cookies for these purposes. Learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and how Google uses cookies in advertising. You can turn off personalized advertising at Google's My Ad Center and opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu. In the apps, you can also reset or delete your device's advertising ID in your phone's settings. The game itself uses no cookies: on the website it only keeps a random install ID, your best floor, a session counter and a list of recently seen question fingerprints (so questions don't repeat) in your browser's local storage.

"Remove Ads" (one-time purchase) removes all full-screen ads and lets you continue without watching an ad. It does not give extra continues or change scores.

4. Who receives data

5. International transfers

Our server is in the EU (Hetzner Online GmbH data centre). Transfers from Türkiye are made under KVKK Article 9; ad and purchase data reach Google/Apple under their own safeguards.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (KVKK, GDPR, California and other laws), you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to processing, or receive a copy. Because we have no accounts, include your nickname and the approximate date of the run. Email support@upthefloors.com. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Türkiye: Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu). The Turkish disclosure text (KVKK Aydınlatma Metni) is at upthefloors.com/kvkk.

7. Children

The Game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Nicknames are filtered automatically, and we hide offensive ones from the Top 100.

8. Changes

We will update the effective date and, for material changes, show a notice in the Game.
